Are the JML jewelry manufacturers reliable?

Yes, they are. The JML jewelry manufacturers are all renowned and/or top brand companies, most of which participate in the international jewelry exhibitions held in Japan. JML staff never fail to visit the manufacturers’ offices or factories to have face to face interviews with them before they become a JML member.

Is there a screening process for the member registration?

There is a simple examination. You will be asked to submit an identification document, and we will check your social media activity history and business experience.

Is there an age restriction for registering as a member of JML?

Persons under the age of 18 cannot register.

How much can I sell in one live sales?

Sales will vary depending on the number of people attending your live sales, the contents and prices of your products, your live sales experience, etc. It is not uncommon for a single live sales to sell over 1 million yen.

Can we buy the product at the affordable price from the JML manufacturers?

Yes, you can. You can buy the product at the wholesale price.

How long is one live sales?

It depends on the number of products to be sold, but generally it takes about 1-3 hours.

How many participants do I need to host my live sales?

At least 10 people are required. 20-100 people or more are better.

Are there any fees charged when purchasing products?

There are no fees when purchasing products from manufacturers. There are no costs other than the price tagged by the manufacturer.

After registering as a member, when can I start using the service?

Right after completing member registration, you can use the JML services.

What is the membership registration fee and payment method?

There is no initial cost, and the monthly membership fee is 22,000 yen (tax included). Credit cards are only accepted as the payment method.

What about the canceling policy of the membership?

You can cancel it anytime. If you wish to cancel your membership, please contact the JML office. Be sure to complete the cancellation procedure at least 10 days before the month of cancellation. The membership will be canceled from the next month.

Can I become the member as a corporation?

Corporate registration of members is not accepted. Only individual registration

How do I communicate with the JML member manufacturers?

Please use the chat function on the JML site to communicate with the manufacturers. Direct communications without JML are prohibited.

Do I need an ID to confirm my identity on the day of the live sales?

Please bring your drivers license, passport, etc. to confirm your identity.

Can I accompany staff to my live sales?

If you wish to accompany staff to support your live sales, please obtain a prior approval from the manufacturer. However, accompanying persons are prohibited from conducting the live sales.

How do I pay for products to the JML member manufacturers?

Both the manufacturer and the live seller should decide on the payment method in advance. The main payment methods are WeChat Pay, Alipay, bank transfer, and cash on delivery.

How do I receive the product from the manufacturer?

The product will be delivered after the payment. Please ask the manufacturer how to receive the product. Usually, you will either pick it up at the manufacturer or have it mailed to an office or warehouse in Japan designated by the live seller. If you wish to ship the product overseas, please contact the manufacturer.

Is it possible to return the product?

The return policy varies depending on the manufacturer. Many manufacturers agree on returns on some conditions.

Do non-residents in Japan receive the consumption tax exemption?

The consumption tax is exempted only when the product is used by a non-resident buyer. Therefore, the tax exemption cannot be applied if the product is sold to a third party.

Can I use any media (platform) for live sales?

There are no regulations from JML. The common media are Taobao, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

What equipment do I need for live sales?

A smartphone and smartphone stand are essential items. Since the appearance of the product has a big impact on sales, we recommend that you prepare lighting equipment as well.

What environment will the manufacturer prepare for live sales?

Usually, the manufacturer provides a Wi-Fi environment and the tools necessary for jewelry sales (weighing devices, ring size rods, etc.). Just to be sure, please check when applying for live sales.
